In the heart of Born just a stone throw from the Picasso museum, you can find the tapas restaurant Bar del Pla.
This place is always busy, loud and with a good mix of locals and tourists. A great spot were to enjoy Spanish tapas and plates to share with family and friends.
The decoration of Bar del Pla is old school Catalan, the long marble bar with tall wooden chair is the centre of attention. In the back there´s another smaller and calmer dining area were small groups can be seated.

The cuisine is traditional with some exceptions, and market based. Here you can find classic tapas as Pimientos de Padron/ Padron Peppers and Jamón/Ham and smoked Sardine “Coca”. Also on the menu they have a great Tuna Tartare, which they serve with really thinly sliced toasted bread… Heaven!
The service is fast and good; if you have a hard time making your selection of dishes or beverage the waiters are more then glad to help you out. The atmosphere in the restaurant is informal and relaxed.
