Copitas French wine bar, a cosy gem located just a 5-minute walk from the impressive masterpiece basilica Sagrada Familia by Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí.
I’m probably shooting my self in the foot by telling you all about this casual wine bar coz I want to keep it all to myself, but good things are meant to be shared, right?
Copitas French wine bar
This neighbourhood wine bar is run by the charismatic Pascal. Originally from France, and from there comes, of course, the French part of French wine bar in. He invites you with a smile and it never leaves his face, at Copitas you feel genuinely welcomed.
On the menu at Copitas, you find French wines but also wines from small local Catalan and Spanish winemakers. If you don’t know what to get, let Pascal help you out!
At Copitas you also find a great selection of rum ( Pascal is a big fan).
They prepare delicious cut boards with cheese and cold cuts, salads, raclette, foie gras.
One weekend a month they celebrate the wonders of oysters. Pascal himself drive up to France and brings back boxes of fantastic oysters. You buy them by 1/2 a dozen (12€) or a dozen (20€) and they come with newly baked bread, salted butter, lemon and Mignonette vinaigrette.
VERY IMPORTANT – If you want to enjoy the oysters at Copitas you need to reserve your table in advance, the place is small!
