Creative tapas at Ten’s restaurant in the Born Barcelona, I believe are worth a halt if your thinking of running past it.
Restaurant Ten’s has been around for 5 years, I walked by almost on a daily basis, working and living in the area. But the restaurant never appeals to me, though it looked cold and impersonal. As we all know life ticks on and I never visited Ten’s, until the other week.
A friend asked if I wanted to join her at Ten’s for some creative tapas, and I’m glad I did. Still think the interiors are dull, nevertheless the original tapas totally weigh up for it!
AT FIRST SIGHT
Ten’s restaurant is located in Park Hotel, just in front of the train station, Estació de França in Barcelona. The dining area is formal and impersonal, everything white.
If you are not a larger group, maybe just two of you, I would recommend you to sit at the bar. From there you can see part of the kitchen and as the chefs put the last touches to the dishes.
Well-known chef Jordi Cruz (Master chef Spain) is in charge of the menu at Tens. Cruz offers refreshed traditional Spanish tapas and innovative tapas. The a la carte menu is short with plates perfect to share if you have a hard time deciding they offer two tasting menus.
DISHES TRIED AND TESTED
Creative tapas at Ten’s restaurant
The dishes at Ten’s are excellent to share, however a selection of «single portion» tapas and can be difficult to split. We did, it can get messy. The same goes for the oysters, probably I don’t even have to spell that out, but anyways.
In total, we had 10 tapas and oysters. Our selection of dishes was not the most filling, as we also shared various «single portion» tapas (here remember to order one for each of you).
All the tapas were beautiful in taste and presentation.
