AT FIRST SIGHT – RESTAURANT LECHE DE TIGRE

Some of you might know Nicky Ramos from the now-closed Peruvian restaurant The Market, at the new location in Gràcia the concept of the food is the same; flavoursome Peruvian food made with quality produce. But this time the recipes are more urban and that reflects as well in the interior decoration of the restaurant that is entirely distinct.

The locale is relaxed, informal and laidback, in the dining area they have done a colourful mural painting as a homage to the trendy neighbourhood Barraca in Lima, Peru. The seating is a mix of hight and low tables.

DISHES TRIED AND TESTED – RESTAURANT LECHE DE TIGRE

We tried and tested an array of traditional plates from Peru, also Peruvian dishes with influences from both Asian and African cuisine. All the dishes we tried and tested came in good-sized servings, which all works fantastic to share!

Leche de Tigre Levanta Muertos

We started with a Leche de Tigre Levanta Muertos (raise the dead) with Ají amarillo, raw fish and mussels.

Also in the cold section, Ceviche Costanera; raw fish, octopus, leche de tigre, sweet potato and two types of corn. this dish escaped the photo session;)

Dessert Mousse de Lúcuma at Leche de Tigre. Peruvian restaurant in Grràcia Barcrelona Catalonia
Dessert Mousse de Lúcuma

This sweet dessert made from the lùcuma fruit originally from the Andes in Peru and Ecuador hit the notes of butterscotch, sweet potato, maple syrup.

If you are a cocktail fan, don’t forget to try their Pisco sour or Chilcanos. If you don’t like to sip on a drink with alcohol, I recommend you to try their mocktail with Chicha Morada!
