I usually write about places in Barcelona, but once in a while when I live great experiences outside of my hometown I think I should share them here as well.
The beautiful and wild cost line of Tenerife
For New Years I got to spend a couple of relaxing days in good company, we had decided to visit the north part of the island Tenerife.
One evening strolling in the village Garachico I started to talk with a lady from the area (which shows she was working as a local guide, she told me history about the town and the surrounding area, which is very fascinating) and as I asked for a good restaurant, she recommended us to try the restaurant Anturium, said and done we reserved a table for the following evening.
Pool area at restaurant Anturium, Hotel San Roque
The restaurant is located in the charming private owned hotel San Roque in the historic centre of Garachico.
The hotel is a manor house dated back to the late 18th century, it´s classified as an historic building, there for the original architecture was closely followed during renovation and the result is stunning.
Restaurant Anturium Pool area hotel San Roque
Anturium is situated by the pool area and the diners can enjoy the meal in the open-air terrace, the capacity is limited which gives a intimate atmosphere.
Temperated shrimp carpaccio Lobster salad
The restaurant is run by Danish chef Danny Nielsen, he works the menu around fresh top quality and seasonal produce, mixes the best from Canary Island and the Mediterranean cuisine.
From the kitchen well-prepared and savoury dishes are presented in an appealing way to the eye.
To accompany the fine dining, Anturium has a great selection of national and international wines to enjoy.
Sea bass Suckling pig Chocolate mousse
We loved dining at Anturium, everything was perfect. If you happen to go to Garachico this is a must on your list.
