Restaurant Cuina d’en Garriga, could not have had a more centric location, on the street Concell de Cent 308, between the iconic streets Passeig de Gracia and Rambla Catalunya in Barcelona.
Even though the area in Barcelona where restaurant Cuina d’en Garriga is more identified by grand shops, think Celine, Prada, Miu Miu then quality eateries.
But we need exceptions right, and that’s what Cuina d’en Garriga gives us. The restaurant manage to present high quality cuisine to reasonable prices with great success to their clients.
Helena Garriga together with her husband Oliver Guilland runs restaurant Cuina d’en Garriga. The cuisine is focused on classic and traditional plates made with high quality produce.
The produce used in the kitchen comes from small farmers in Catalonia, Spain and abroad, many of them with a organic think.
Walking in to Cuina d’en Garriga you will find that is more then restaurant, it’s also small gourmet shop. They have a selection of bread, cheese, wine and other delicious products. In fact the the project started out as a small gourmet shop with great success. With time evolved into a combined space for both the gourmet shop and restaurant.
The shop and dining area feels unique and cosy. They have done a great job on making the ambiance homey and relaxed.
On our visit we tried array of plates which were all great, some stronger then others, my favourites? The steak tartar and roasted lamb, excellent!
The all over experience at Cuina d’en Garriga is excellent. The food and the ambiance makes this a great choice if you are looking for a quality meal in the centre of Barcelona.
Can I say the steak tartar and roasted lamb, again?
