The Juice house locale has a clean and unpretentious décor with light wooden panels, brick and white painted walls. In the far back the wall has been knocked down and replaced with a big window letting in the day light. The appearance is a mix of industrial, given by the rawness of the walls and rustic coming from the wooden details

Daniela y Luz the owners of The Juice house wants to show us that it´s possible to have healthy food that is also tasty. They have carefully chosen to work with small local companies to assure high quality, dedication to the details and to support the local businesses.

A few of them are; coffee from the Right Side Coffee roasters in Castelldefels, their sourdough bread is made by Pa Serra, one of the oldest bakeries in Barcelona and the eggs come from hens living a happy life in the countryside. They also carry a selection of organic wines from the family-owned bodega Ros Marina in Penedés.

I visited The Juice house on a lunch break midweek with a friend, we decided to go for the set lunch menu; first, second, dessert + drink, for 11,50€. We could choose from two starts – soup or salad – one vegan and the other vegetarian. For the mains there were three options; vegan, vegetarian and a fish and for dessert another three options; two vegan and a vegetarian.

The food is filling but light, as we left I felt full of energy, instead of sluggish as can be the case when I go out for lunch.
If your not that hungry, The Juice house also offers one main dish, dessert + drink for 9,50€.

I checked out their a la carte menu and there are a bunch of dishes I would love to check out; Znoodle Capresa, Green tea marinated Sea Bass, Green Bowl and Veggie burger (and more), they all sound amazing.

The Juice house, of course, makes fresh cold press juices were they mix veggies and fruit and you can find superfood like wheatgrass, Spirulina, chia seeds and Maca to add in the mix.

They have simplified the menu by adding description initials to each dish so their clients can see if what they are choosing is vegan, gluten-free, vegetarian, without sugar, raw, lactose-free or meat friendly. Very helpful when it comes to picking your dish!

The atmosphere at The Juice house is relaxed, informal and with a friendly staff. I will surely be back to try out their breakfast and dinner.
