Weekend in Paris and three restaurants worth visiting

During my weekend in Paris, I visited three restaurants that I think are worth sharing with you here on Appetite & Other Stories!

Au Passage

Got recommended Au Passage by a friend that lives in Paris, I booked well in advance as I got told it is always fully booked! I booked early and got seats in the bar with a good view of the restaurant and the staff working.
Its menu is written on a chalkboard in French but the friendly staff easily translates it for you and changes daily depending on the offer at the local market. Dishes are small, they recommend 2-3 per person and with each dish, they recommend a wine that will work with the dish.
The food was fresh, savoury and just absolutely amazing and the plates came out a perfect speed. The atmosphere was wonderful, the mix of locals and tourists, a mix of younger and older clients.

This is a MUST on your Paris trip and don’t forget to book your table in advance!

Address: 1bis Passage Saint-Sébastien, 75011 Paris, Francia

Years ago I heard about the restaurant Bones in Paris, now it changed its name to Jones since one of the owners left to seek out new projects.  At Jones they also work with the concept of smaller tapas size plates, also they recommended 2- 3 dishes per person.  All the dishes were perfect in both looks and taste, the only thing was that they came out from the kitchen way to fast, could have to do with that I was one of the first diners at the restaurant. With its dim lights this place is perfect for date night.

I recommend booking in advance.

43 Rue Godefroy Cavaignac, 75011 Paris

This restaurant was right next to my hotel, I walked by every day and it looked so cosy, as I didn’t have a reservation for the last night I decided to try it and I was lucky to get a table as it was packed.
Once again they worked with smaller tapas-style plates, again the same recommendation 2-3 plates per person.
The menu has a European / American mix, from Quinoa, octopus Carpaccio to Peruvian Ceviche and Spanish ham Bellota.

The dishes were all fresh and full of flavours, there was only one mistake and it was mine only, I let truffle addiction come out and I ordered the truffled Mac and cheese sticks that were way too much for one person in combination with the other dishes.

I recommend you to try their delicious cocktail while waiting for your dishes!

I recommend booking in advance.

26 Rue Beautreilles 75004 Paris
