Wine and Tapas experience with locals in Barcelona, sounds pretty good right?
The supper club website VizEat offer food experiences to travellers around the globe. VizEat is a platform that connects hosts who wants to cook for visitors in their home and diners who want to eat with locals on their travels near and far.
I got invited by EatViz to try out the Wine and Tapas experience with the hosts Marina and Guille at their home in Sants. The neighborhood Sants is still a very local and unexplored area in Barcelona by visitors, so if you want to get of the beaten track this could be a good area to explore.
As we entered the door to the Vizeat hosts home we immediately hit it off. Marina gave us a tour of their home, as Guille prepared a refreshing strawberry cocktail in the kitchen.
As we sipped and chatted away in the living room, Guille started to cooking the tapas we were going to savour.
Once we sat down our journey through different cuisines of Spain started, from north to south and east to west. They selected an assortment of tapas that were simple, hearty and delicious, dishes that we can find in many family kitchen around Spain.
We moved from classic Serrano ham with tomato bread to a perfectly prepared tortilla, and with everything in between.
Marian and Guille want to support the local businesses, there for they buy the ingredients from independent shop with quality products in the area.
We ended the evening on a sweet note, sweet strawberries with goat yogurt and chocolate.
Depending on the selected event, if you choose Marina and Guille as hosts it’s in Sants, Barcelona
